Film dari The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (2009) bersinopsis Saat singgah di Jerman di tengah perjalanan tanpa beban melintasi Eropa, dua gadis Amerika mendapati diri mereka sendirian di malam hari ketika mobil mereka mogok di hutan. Mencari bantuan di vila terdekat, mereka dibujuk ke dalam cengkeraman seorang pensiunan ahli bedah gila yang menjelaskan visi ilmiahnya yang gila hingga kengerian tawanannya. Mereka harus menjadi subjek dari fantasi seumur hidupnya yang menyakitkan: menjadi orang pertama yang menghubungkan orang-orang, satu dengan yang lain, dan dengan melakukan hal tersebut menghidupkan “the human centipede.”
