Film dari Tales of the Night (2011) bersinopsis Tales of the Night adalah karya animasi terkenal auteur Michel Ocelot “Kirikou and the Sorceress, Azur & Asmar” yang pertama kali terjun ke dalam animasi 3D. Menjadi hit di Festival Film Berlin, film ini memperluas gaya wayang kulit Pangeran dan Putri Ocelot sebelumnya, dengan karakter siluet hitam yang dipadukan dengan latar belakang Day-Glo yang sangat detail dan penuh dengan warna dan pola kaleidoskopik – penggunaan 3D yang halus menciptakan diorama efek seperti itu. Film ini merangkai enam dongeng eksotis yang masing-masing terungkap di lokasi yang unik, dari Tibet, hingga Eropa abad pertengahan, kerajaan Aztec, dataran Afrika, dan bahkan Negeri Orang Mati. Dalam penceritaan Ocelot, sejarah menyatu dengan dongeng saat pemirsa dibawa ke negeri ajaib yang penuh dengan naga, manusia serigala, putri tawanan, penyihir, dan lebah besar yang bisa berbicara – dan setiap dongeng berakhir dengan twist ironisnya sendiri.
